Service Disruptions – Additional Context

Information

We would like to share some additional context regarding the recent service disruptions
affecting BookVisit and Citybreak, which occurred on Sunday 14 December 2025 13:47–
18:12 and again on Monday 15 Dec 2025 17:10–19:55.

We are currently in the middle of a long-term infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving
the performance, security, and reliability of our platforms. This work is normally carried
out in the background while keeping the systems live, with the clear intention of
avoiding any disruption to your daily operations.

In this case, whilst we planned these upgrades carefully to avoid the risk of downtime,
several technical factors compounded, placing unexpected strain on our database
infrastructure.

While we fully recognise the disruption caused, we would like to reassure you that
incidents of this nature are extremely rare. That said, we take the impact of disruptions
like this very seriously and our teams worked hard to restore services promptly
including safely recovering bookings from external channels. We have since identified
the root cause and we are taking additional preventative steps, including adding extra
infrastructure capacity, to further reduce any risk.
